Class Action
It has been reported that over 16 million people have taken the prescription drug Accutane and as on June 2009 the drug manufacturer Roche has pulled it off of the market due to the terrible side effects. Close to 80% of women who were pregnant and taking Accutane had an abortion due to the high amount of severe birth defects during their pregnancy. Some of the common birth defects caused by Accutane include both internal and external defects such as deformed heads, wide set eyes, small chin and ear deformations.
The manufacturer Roche may be slapped with a class action lawsuit and have to offer settlements to over 5,000 personal injury type claims. Currently their are no class action lawsuits; however’ Accutane Lawyers continue collecting information from these victims.
